If you have registered or are considering enrolling your children for the Summer 2020 camps, please review the following.
The recent news update for summer camps has been positive. We are excited for the possibility to run camps in the GTA in the summer of 2020. We are actively discussing with our local M.P teams and abiding by the protocols that will be released for summer camp activity. More information on locations and new programming adjustments will be released soon.
Please know that we have well-established health-specific protocols in place to protect our campers and staff during the summer season. As we plan for the season ahead and this situation continues to develop, we are reviewing our in-camp procedures to ensure we are protecting our campers and staff as best as possible. We will communicate any updates or changes to our processes with all of our camper families once they are made.
TAC Sports is here to support all of our families, past and present, and between our Directors, and our local health unit, the situation is continuously being monitored. As this situation is fluid, we ask for your patience and for you to keep up to date through the sources provided.
Despite this unprecedented situation, rest assured we are working around the clock to help our customers. In normal situations, our cancellation policy would be in full effect. However, cancellations that are caused by COVID-19 are beyond our control. For camps cancelled by the COVID-19 epidemic, we are providing a credit of equal value to be used indefinitely, with no time limit. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
Summer Soccer Season
Toronto Athletic Football Club (T.A.F.C) academy competitive teams, as part of TAC Sports organization, strongly believes in the benefits of young people participating in soccer while also recognizing the need to keep players and coaches and their families safe.
As plans are being developed by governments to open parks and fields and to allow increasingly large groups of people to gather, TAFC continues to prepare for the 2020 outdoor season. Consequently, registration for 2020 TAFC is now open. The league is making plans to have festivals and exhibition games as per usual.
The online training programs available since late March were part of the indoor season. Players have had access to at least two live online sessions weekly as well as additional resources.
The online programs will continue until it is possible to play on the fields.
June is the start of the “outdoor” season. Ontario Soccer requires that the club register players by May 25, whether training is on the field or online.
The club is asking that parents who have not paid the outdoor fee now help to cover the costs of the season and if online training for the next two months by paying a nominal fee. The amount is only $100/month; for June and July, the total is $200. This amount will be applied to the outdoor fee and the rest payable when the season is launched. The link to register is here: https://www.amilia.com/
Physical June Training
While the league starts early July and the registration deadline is May 25, we are offering one-one training as of June 1. This includes one on one coaching for all players and goalkeepers. Please email us directly to book your training sessions as limited times available each week.
If you have already registered for the soccer season, great, we’ll be ready for the new season and meet the deadline of May 25. Should we not proceed in a full-scale summer season, we will offering training throughout the summer.
